The Library holds books and DVDs about quilting that may be borrowed by our members at our monthly meetings. OVQG members may borrow up to 4 books/one DVD at a time.
Only a rotating portion of the library's holdings are available at any one meeting. Please reserve your desired item to ensure it is available at the next meeting.
As of September 2018, a volunteer to lead the Library has not been identified. For the moment, members should email the Library Coordinator a minimum of 7 days prior to the monthly meeting to reserve desired item(s). The items(s) will be brought to the next meeting for pickup at the Library table.
We also subscribe to a number of quilting magazines. See the Magazines page for further information.
The library holdings (books and DVDs) are sorted three different ways: Title, Author, and Category.
The title list shows the publisher and does not include the category.
The category is shown in the other two lists and the publisher is omitted.
Items bought since June 2016 have the word NEW written in red beside them in every list.
If you have any questions about the library, please email the Library Coordinator.
To borrow an item
Take the card from the book pocket. Print the due date. This due date will be the next regular guild meeting, for example, October 2018. Add name and phone number. Present the completed card(s) to the librarian. Books are due before the start of the next meeting. Renewals of one month are at the discretion of the librarian.
Return borrowed items at the start of the meeting to the Returns box on the Library table.
To reserve an item
Reservations may be made by email to the Library Coordinator a minimum of 7 days before the next meeting. Since only a rotating portion of the library's holdings are available at any one meeting, a reservation ensures that the item will have been brought to the meeting.
Overdue fines are $1 per month per item. Members with overdue books will be emailed, then telephoned, if outstanding for more than one month. All books must be returned or replaced by the end of the year (June meeting). Damaged or lost books are the responsibility of the borrower who will be charged a replacement fee equal to the cost of purchasing and shipping the book.
