Cheryl Brickey

Quilt as Desired” -  three words that can strike fear in many quilters. Once you’ve pieced a quilt top, made sure that everything comes together as straight as possible, chosen the backing, the batting, sandwiched it, based it, then the beast has to be quilted, but how, what design should be chosen, what thread should be used, how densely should it be quilted?  If some of the answers allude you, well, join us on March 14, 2022, when our guest lecturer Cheryl Brickey takes us through a step by step process we can use to help answer some of these questions.  She will tell us how to determine which quilt design we should use on our quilt, whether we are quilting the quilt ourself or sending it out to a quilting professional. Cheryl’s process will teach us to choose between allover versus custom patterns, which designs to use, and even quilting density and thread colour. Cheryl will show us many of her quilts and discuss how she decided on the quilting designs for each.  So join us on March 14, 2022 to learn all about Cheryl’s wonderful technique!
