QUILT GROUPS

  • Quilt groups consist of quilters who meet to work together, either in person or via Zoom.
  • There is no formal teaching component. Quilters learn from one another.
  • Some meet to create charity quilts.
  • Some meet to work on individual projects in a group setting, either single day Sew Days or multi-day retreats.
  • Many are free while others have a small fee to cover venue costs.

For more information email the Workshops Coordinator. Use this address if you are mailing your payment.

Note: On this page , each meeting has a limited amount of space. If you can't see the entire description, click on the red Show details link to view the individual meeting page.

    Guided Sew Along

What is a guided sew along?

A Guided Sew Along is a chance to meet fellow OVQG members and develop your quilting skills through monthly gatherings on Zoom, socials, parties, awards and mini technique tutorials related to the chosen pattern.

You asked…. We listened!  You want to improve your quilting techniques, and feel confident in your abilities.   To help you achieve your goal, Mystery Club will be hosting a Guided Sew Along to help build your fundamental quilting skills in the 2025-2026 membership year.   Join the “Surf” or “Turf” or “Double Double Challenge”

Registration is FREE to OVQG members in good standing.

You are required to purchase one or both of these traditionally pieced patterns:

“Surf” Pattern = “Going Costal Quilt Pattern” by Art East Quilt Co.

“Turf” Pattern = “Wonderful Woodland Quilt Pattern by Art East Quilt Co.

Or Take the “Double Double Challenge” – do both Going Costal and Wonderful Woodland patterns at the same time.

Please support your local Canadian quilt shops and check if you can purchase them there, or you can purchase paper or digital patterns directly from the Canadian designers website at https://arteastquiltingco.com/home

    Registration Closes September 12, 2025

Gatherings/tutorials begin in September 2025, and will take place weekday evenings.
