Join us for a Zoom workshop! As Melissa says, “You can turn any quilt pattern into a quilt-as-you-go”.
Melissa will cover several quilt-as-you-go methods. You will make samples of different ways to join pre-quilted sections, or to attached unquilted section to an already quilted one. We will also look at patterns you have and discuss which methods would be best suited to convert them into quilt-as-you-go at home.
You will look at quilting differently, with this technique in your repertoire!
Note: Pre-class cutting and other preparation for your samples is required.

Zoom Sew Day
Join us on Zoom for a relaxed day of quilting and chatting from your own sewing room!
We're exploring Colour again this month. Again it's optional. We will break from our regular projects about 11 a.m. for about an hour to work through exercises in The Quilter’s Field Guide to Color, by Rachel Hauser. Are we learning yet? Having fun?
You can join and leave anytime during the day, so don't feel you have to commit for the whole day if that is not an option. Find a neglected a project or a problem block and get motivated by your fellow quilters.
There is no fee for this event - just register on this page so we know how many to expect, and we have your email address to send you the link. The link will be open from 9 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. E.S.T. on Saturday October 28, 2023.
Want some company while you're stitching in the ditch??
Our In-Town Retreat is a great opportunity to get together and sew! Bring an unfinished project that you're working on or start something new and share your ideas and inspiration with others! You can set up your sewing equipment, leave at the end of each day and return to finish your project the following day. It is a retreat but you get to sleep in your own bed at night. Your projects will be safely undisturbed until you return the next day.
Bring your lunch for Saturday, and Sunday. The fridge and kettle will be available to use. Saturday we will order in pizza as usual, or you can supply your own dinner. We will provide coffee, tea and snacks.
Cost: $45 for the weekend, or $15 for Saturday Only or Sunday Only
NOTE: Due to popularity, we opened new spaces, in Maki House's second room.
