January Virtual Sew Day
Have you ever made a jelly roll rug?
Join us on Zoom for a relaxed day of quilting and chatting from your own sewing room. Frania Granville will demonstrate her technique for using narrow strips to create a soft coiled rug.
You can join and leave anytime during the day, so don't feel you have to commit for the whole day if that is not an option. Find a neglected a project or a problem block and get motivated by your fellow quilters.

February Virtual Sew Day
Have you ever made a Clothesline Bowl?
Join us on Zoom for a relaxed day of quilting and chatting from your own sewing room. This month, Carol Fitz-Gibbon will show us her method of making colourful fabric bowls using narrow fabric strips and cotton clothesline. The demo starts at 11 AM.

STORM AT SEA - PAPER PIECED
Join us on Saturday March 5 when Dave Sirota reveals the secrets of his paper piecing technique . He promises “no more tears” . To quote Dave: “ Do you and paper piecing already have a love/hate relationship? Do you love the accuracy you achieve, but hate the process of getting there?” That will change after a day with Dave.
The class will run on Zoom from 10 AM to 4 PM with a break for lunch. Fee is $50 Cdn and can be paid by PayPal or e-transfer to the Guild. Click on the blue button to register.

Note re the paper: Dave recommends a certain weight of vellum that we have not yet found in small quantities in Canada. The team is looking for a solution. We may need to order a large quantity and share it.
