We're back in Maki House!
Maki House has reopened with some restrictions, but we can still have a great day sewing with our quilting friends. Unfortunately, quaffing is still not allowed on City property.
Everyone will have a separate table and be asked to stay in their space as much as possible. Proof of double vaccination is required as is a rapid Covid test which will be performed when you arrive at Maki House. Anyone who tests positive will be asked to leave and will have their fee refunded. Masks must be worn when you are moving around the room.
The rules for using the kitchen are rather complex, so we are asking that everyone bring a lunch that does not need reheating. No shared treats this month please!
Bring an unfinished project that you're working on, and share your ideas and inspiration with others - suitably distanced of course!
Spaces: min 6/ max 14

The Merry Mayhem Mystery Quilt
“We all have our Ups & Downs, but this one will make you King or Queen of the Hill!” Is this a clue to help you solve the Merry Mayhem mystery??
For many years now, a hardy group of quilters has gathered on January 2 to work on the annual Merry Mayhem Mystery quilt. They’ll be doing it again this year, but via Zoom, not in Maki House. The usual suspects will be back at it and they’re hoping that more people will join in. The fabric requirements for 7 different sizes have already been released and can be found at https://www.merrymayhem.com/new-years-day-mystery-quilt. The next clue will be released on Dec 25. After that, the clues are released hourly on Jan 1, starting at 10 AM. The pattern & instructions are free.
There is no fee for this event - just register on this page so we know how many to expect and we have your email address to send you the Zoom link. The link will be open from 10 AM to 4 PM on Sunday January 2nd.
What a great way to finish off the holiday season!
