Have you ever wondered how to finish off your quilt top? Join this class and feel more confident! We will cover measuring, calculating borders, building and attaching borders, types of borders. For bindings, we’ll cover determining the length of the binding, making the strip, the different types of bindings, and their usages. This class will alternate demonstration and examples, with hands-on practice. You’ll see the different types of borders, and binding from a variety of display quilts. Participants who do not have a project to work on may sew on practice samples (see Supplies List). Please advise us when you register, if you need the practice pieces, as they will be made to order. Won’t it be lovely to finally know how to border and bind your quilts! Note: This is a Techniques Workshop for Beginners. No actual quilts will be completed. Participants must have a working sewing machine and be able to operate it.
