Presentations Guide

This page should be read by anyone who is making a presentation at the OVQG's monthly meeting.

These guidelines were created to ensure your presentation runs smoothly, and as you want it to be experienced by the audience. If you have any questions or concerns, contact the OVQG Zoom Team.

Zoom-only Meeting Requirements

[For presentations at the January, February, and March monthly meetings.]

Visual aids for a presentation are normally the responsibility of the presenter. For example, a PowerPoint slide show can be displayed using Zoom’s screen sharing support, which allows you to manually advance the slides yourself.

If you are new to Zoom screen sharing, the Zoom Team can arrange a short dress rehearsal session with you a few days prior to the meeting. Alternatively, you can upload the presentation to us (see below) and let us do the screen sharing for you.

Hybrid Meeting Requirements

[For presentations at the September to December and the April to June meetings.]

Riverside Church has an audio system with hand-held and microphones, as well as a podium microphone.

If you have presentation slides, please upload them to the Zoom Team at least 3 days prior to the meeting to ensure they are compatible with our A-V system (see below). Your slides will be projected onto a large screen for in-person attendees and will also be seen by attendees on Zoom. A wireless hand-held presentation wand will let you manually advance the slides yourself.

If requested, OVQG guild members are available to assist you in displaying other visual aids, such as a collection of quilts.

    Uploading Presentation Slides

You can upload a PowerPoint, Google Docs, or PDF presentation using the OVQG Presentation Uploader. (Note: The uploader requires you to sign in to your Google account; anonymous uploading is not permitted for security reasons.)

Uploaded presentations are available only to the Zoom Team, and cannot be accessed by other OVQG guild members, nor the general public. Each presentation is deleted by the Zoom Team following the conclusion of the meeting at which it is presented.

If your presentation cannot be uploaded using the Presentation Uploader, or if you require any other special equipment for your presentation, please contact the Zoom Team in advance so we can make the necessary arrangements to meet your needs.
