Bee Group

The guild's Bee groups are composed of members who enjoy handwork in any form, be it: appliqué, English paper piecing, embellishing, quilting, embroidery — or even the mundane task of quilt binding!

Group members generously share techniques, encouragement, and creative inspiration. A favourite part of the time together involves show and tell.

There are currently two different Bee groups, and members can belong to either or both.

Library Bee Group

The Library Bee Group is hosted by Carol McFee, and meets on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month from 10 AM to 2 PM. Sessions are held in the meeting room of the Emerald Plaza Public Library, located at 1547 Merivale Avenue in Ottawa.

*** Due to flooding damage at the library caused by the Canada Day rainstorm, Library Bee Group meetings are suspended until further notice. ***

Every 6 months each group member must pay their portion of the facility rental cost, which is usually around $30-35.

Due to space limitations, membership in this group is limited to 12. Currently the group is at capacity, but if you are interested in joining you can ask Carol to add you to the wait list.

For further information about the Library Bee Group, contact Carol McFee using the OVQG Member Directory.

Zoom Bee Group

The Zoom Bee Group is hosted by Judy Toews, and meets from 10 AM to 12 noon on Thursdays. (Click here for the Zoom meeting link.)

This group is open to all guild members. There is no need to register, and there are no space limitations or fees to join.

For further information about the Zoom Bee Group, contact Judy Toews using the OVQG Member Directory.
