Sew Days

Sew days allow quilters to get together once a month to work on their own projects in the company of others. Have fun making progress on a new project — or a UFO you've been putting off — while getting praise and suggestions from the rest of the group!

OVQG holds two different types of sew days:

  • The in-person group is open to both OVQG members and non-members, and meets at Maki House. Attendees must register for each month's event, and space is limited. 
  • The two Zoom-based groups are open to OVQG members only, and let you sew from home. Attendees can register once to attend all group events, and space is unlimited. (Meeting links: Thursday group, Saturday group)

    Join us once a month on Zoom on the 4th Thursday for a relaxed afternoon of quilting and chatting from your own sewing room! There will be no session in December.

    You can join and leave anytime, so don't feel you have to commit for the whole time if that is not an option.

    Find a neglected project or a problem block and get motivated by your fellow quilters.

    All members are welcome to join us. If you don't register, you can find the Zoom link for the sew along in the Members Only section under Zoom meetings. The benefit of registering is that you will automatically receive a reminder email containing the Zoom link one day before each session.

    Once a month, on the fourth Saturday (third Saturday in December), join us on Zoom for a relaxed day of quilting and chatting from your own sewing room!

    You can join and leave anytime during the day, so don't feel you have to commit for the whole day if that is not an option.

    Find a neglected project or a problem block or work on your 100 Blocks Challenge.  Get motivated by your fellow quilters.

    Note: The final hour from November to May will be dedicated to the book club.
