TILED LANDSCAPES - in-Person at Maki House
This two day class will walk you through the process of use tiling to create a fabulous landscape quilt. This is a technique mastered by Gloria Loughman.
It starts with a photograph capturing your attention or a length of fabric you love. Both will guide your tiling colors and placement in the quilt.
Tiles can be any shapes and size. They can be regular, or geometric or they can be asymmetrical.
The first day will focus on designing your quilt and exploring how to use tiling to enhance your design. The second day will focus on the actual construction of the quilt.
Oct 5, 10:00-1:00 – designing the quilt, exploring how tiling enhances it.
Oct 12, 10:00-4:00 – the actual quilt construction.
The workshop will be led by Jane Roszell.
All skill levels welcome!

Everyone will have a separate 6' table. The kitchen is available for making tea or coffee and reheating in the microwave. We can put our lunches in the fridge.
