Workshop outlining various log cabin techniques, e.g. foundation piecing, some on paper and some on fabric foundation (fabric stays attached).There will be traditional log cabin blocks. Exploration of precise cutting as well as random strips and free form log. Experimentation with different shaped centres as well as working with centres on the outside of the block rather then the traditional location at the centre. The workshop will also address “quilt as you go” for each of your blocks, as well as settings. Linda will share information on the history of the colour of the centre blocks and how it has evolved.
