Meals: Supper on Friday, breakfast, lunch and supper on Saturday, and brunch on Sunday are provided in the cost of the retreat. Times are listed in each day's schedule below.
For other meals, there is a restaurant/pub on site which provides good food. Or, you may wish to go to MacDonald's, Tim Hortons, or bring your own food from home as there is a fridge in your room.
Sewing room: Open 10:00 am on Thursday to 2:00 pm on Sunday inclusive, i.e., 24 hour access during retreat. Coffee/tea/water is provided.
Full work table per participant, 2 pressing stations with irons and 1 cutting station with large cutting mat provided.
Room will be secured when empty.
Chinese Auction!! Tickets will be sold for $1.00 each. You can buy as many tickets as you wish. Deposit your tickets into the paper bags provided in front of each item. The auction will continue until Saturday night, at which time we will do the draws.
Retreat Schedule
Thursday:
4-day participants arrive anytime after 10:00 am. Set-up your work station and begin to sew.
Leave your suitcase in the car as check-in time (access to your bedroom) will be early afternoon.
3:00 - 4:00 PM - Small workshop; supply list will be provided by email before the retreat.
Friday:
3-day participants arrive. Set-up your work station and begin to sew. Check-in time is early afternoon.
10:30 AM - Block Draw is handed out. This is a group project. Each participant is asked to do one block. Your name will be placed in a box and when all the blocks are completed there will be a draw. The participant who wins will get all the blocks, plus border fabric.
3:00 - 4:00 PM - Small workshop; supply list will be provided by email before the retreat.
6:15 PM - Supper
8:00 PM - Game time. "Chase the Ace". If you would like to play, please bring 3 fat quarters! This is an easy game and lots of fun!
Saturday:
08:15 AM - Breakfast
10:00 AM - Small craft. Kits will be provided.
12:15 PM - Lunch
6:00 PM - Supper Buffet
7:30 PM - Show and Tell - bring a special quilt or recently finished quilt/project.
8:30 PM - Chinese Auction draws and Door Prize draw.
Sunday:
10:00 AM - Brunch
2:00 PM - Wrap up
